Sara Savalaxs Supaamornkul
Sara has over 15 years of experience in the Canadian Nuclear Industry. Her award-winning research on solving flow-accelerated corrosion in primary circuit piping made a significant stride in the Canadian nuclear industry, marking her expertise in the field. Following her impactful research, she joined Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. (AECL) as a Safety Analyst, helping design the Advanced CANDU' reactor.
After her tenure at AECL, Sara transitioned into the investment sector. Initially, she helped establish a technology fund for a national oil and gas company in Thailand. She was also invited to serve as an ad-hoc advisor to the Minister of Energy in Thailand in 2014. Later, she co-founded an investment consultancy firm, where she managed investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals. Her team's performance consistently achieved first decile rankings in six years' average annual returns for her clients.
Sara was then recruited into the role of Chief of Staff for a food-tech start-up based in Silicon Valley. Now, she returns to the Nuclear Industry, bringing with her a wealth of diverse experience and knowledge to help make clean, reliable, and affordable energy powered by Canadian nuclear technology available to the world.
Sara finished her bachelor's degree in chemical technology from Chulalongkorn University. She holds a master and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.
