Mohd Khairun Nizam Bin Mohd Sarmin is the Head of Power System at TNB Research Sdn. Bhd., where he leads a dynamic team in driving innovative research and development projects focused on enhancing grid reliability and integrating renewable energy solutions. With over 14 years of experience, he has played a pivotal role in advancing Malaysia’s energy sector, particularly in the areas of grid flexibility, energy storage, and real-time power system analytics. His expertise extends to managing complex R&D initiatives, fostering industry collaboration, and developing cutting-edge technologies that support the country’s energy transition goals. Mohd Khairun holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and is currently pursuing a Master of Electrical Engineering at Universiti Tenaga Nasional. He is committed to shaping the future of sustainable energy through leadership, innovation, and a deep understanding of power system dynamics.
