Lara Sun
Lara Sun is the Head of Sustainability Strategy and Reporting at the Manila Electric Company (Meralco). She is responsible for developing and monitoring the company’s long-term sustainability strategies and targets and for ensuring that the company is well-positioned to respond to stakeholder expectations with respect to sustainability data and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives.
Lara has extensive experience in various fields of the Distribution Utility through her roles in Utility Economics, Marketing, Human Resources, and Corporate Planning. She also led Business Development for Meralco Energy Inc. or MServ, Meralco’s energy services company that specializes in energy efficiency and after-the-meter services.
Lara has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Northwestern University in USA and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD in Singapore and France.
