TotalEnergies ENEOS Completes 6MWp Solar Rooftop Project in Vietnam

TotalEnergies ENEOS has successfully completed the installation of a 6 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar rooftop photovoltaic (PV) system for Chin Well Fasteners (Vietnam), a carbon steel fastener producer that manufactures a wide range of fasteners used in power and land infrastructure sectors. The company’s production facilities in Vietnam will now be powered with approximately 30% of clean electricity.

The project was completed in four months, with TotalEnergies ENEOS fully funding, installing and operating the solar system. Chin Well has agreed to only purchase the electricity produced for 20 years, avoiding any upfront investments.

With over 10,000 modules installed, the 6 MWp PV system generates approximately 8,900 megawatt-hours (MWh) of renewable electricity annually, reducing the company’s carbon footprint by about 5,850 tonnes of CO2 emissions annually.

“We are proud to have completed the solar rooftop project for Chin Well and provide a solution that fulfils both its environmental sustainability and cost-saving goals,” said Elodie Renaud, Director of TotalEnergies ENEOS Renewables Distributed Generation Asia.

“As a leading solar service provider for commercial and industrial businesses, TotalEnergies ENEOS commits on the quality and reliability of our operations over the 20 years to provide peace of mind from a technical, financial, and commercial perspective. We look forward to fostering a lasting energy partnership with Chin Well and exploring further collaboration in the future.”
