EGAT & Sumitomo Corporation join forces to aid ASEAN’s green energy transition

EGAT International Company Limited (EGATi) together with Sumitomo Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for strategic cooperation in driving and promoting the transition to green energy in the ASEAN region.
This partnership is aimed at promoting renewable energy businesses and accelerating the push for ASEAN’s Power Grid to boost the region’s economy.
The signing of the MOU between EGATi and Sumitomo Corporation responds to government policy, by seeking and promoting the joint development of renewable energy businesses in the ASEAN region – including the increase of energy efficiency in the ASEAN region to achieve a complete green energy transition
Said EGAT, “This will help develop the economy, community, and environment of countries in the ASEAN region. It also promotes Thailand’s ability to achieve carbon neutrality in 2050 and Net Zero Emissions in 2065.”
